If you or someone in your life needs help, it is recommended to request help from someone you trust. However, you can still play a role in helping yourself or another person. This section of the Izy’s Helping Association Website can guide you through the helping process.
Before making efforts to help yourself or someone else, it is important to first classify the problem that you are trying to assist in solving. For example, if your friend needed assistance, it would be important to determine their specific problem before trying to help them. There are many different types of problems including addiction, depression or sadness, mental disorders, stress, financial issues, relationship issues, etc. When you have determined the type of problem that you want to solve, you can then begin to take action based on information about the specific problem.
